When I apply any other logon skins, I got the same error, Value creation failed " at line 14
How can I fix this problem? I saw one post about the same problem, but there was no answer for that.
It seems this is rare problem of logon studio, I guess.
I'm using windows xp home edition. Does logon studio have a problem with microsoft .net framework?

Go to your LogonStudio\"Name of the logon that cause problems" directory and open the Theme.ini with notepad.

Count from the top 14 lines (don't count the lines in brackets). It will say something like:

ScrollButtonUp=Bitmap_110.bmp

Note that the Bitmap number might vary, depending on the logon you use. Then check whether you have a .bmp of the same name in this same folder. If no, try and copy the bitmap from another logon to this folder. If yes, the bitmap might have become corrupted and can't be used. Do the same (copy it from another logon).

Thanks a lot! everyone

The problem is that every logon skin has a similar error (at different line).
When I checked theme.ini, i didn't see any problem. Error-reported line in each theme.ini is not same (strange...). In the case of welcome2 logon skin, error at line 364 was reported, but there is no line more than 2 hundred...

It's really headache...

Uhh, ooh this is really a headache. If you have the same problems with all the Logons, even with the ones that got included in the Program.

My second guess would be that your installation of the program somehow got borked up (is that even an english word?). I don't know whether you have already tried it, but I would uninstall LogonStudio through 'Add and Remove Programs' > Reboot > and redownload/reinstall LogonStudio.

Do you run an English Version of Windows? I have heard of other similar problems with LogonStudio which all occured on non english system. If that is the case, you might be able to set your default Language to English, which should solve the problem. (but then again, you might not want to do that).

I just read your other thread about your worries about jpgutils.dll and Koasatis answer #9 to that . Maybe your problems with LogonStudio resulted from NAV diabling/quarantining this file? Or did you even remove it? A reinstall should help in that case and you most likely will have to tell NAV that this file is not evil.

By the way, I have this file on my computer as well and my NAV (newest definitions) does not see it as a threat.

Mmmm, having Koasati identify jpgutils being installed as part of LogonStudio distribution I thought I'd rescan my windows/system32 folder with NAV. However, jpgutils.dll was identified as being 'at threat' again, although I have the NAV latest virus definitions (200502090032).

Anyway, as suggested, I asked NAV to exclude this file from being treated as malicious. Thanks aufisch.

I'm using English ver. of Windows XP, but I also set another language (Korean) for non-unicode program.
OK, anyway. Later, I'll check. In this week, I spent lots of time to figure out problems of stardock programs (as you see in jpgutils.dll post)& set my desktop using objectdesktop & objectdock.

But thank you very much, aufisch!
I'm really happy to get lots of help from you guys.
Here is great!

Help! I have a similar problem, however, mine is at line 40. The problem is, is that i checked this line and it isn't an image or anything. I'm confused, and I looked everywhere.

It says 'Parsor Error' (i think) and in that box it says Value creation failed at line 40.

I have to click 'ok' 10 times before it gives me the normal login thingy. BTW: All 10 messages are the same just FYI.

Any help would be appreciated.
